We have always enjoyed Tanzania Peaberry and used it at our Coffee Shop for years before we retired. It was a pleasant surprise to see you started to have it available. We found Topeka Roasters through our grandson who lives in Oklahoma and have been using your coffees ever since.

I loved it a lot! One of my all time favorite coffees is Kilimanjaro of Tanzania from Edel Weiss Estate, and this tasted very similar t that.

Topeca’s Tanzania Peaberry has become my go‑to for slow weekend mornings. Brewed on my Technivorm Moccamaster, it comes through with this easy, bright character that wakes you up gently instead of jolting you. There’s a light fruitiness in the cup, nothing flashy, just enough to make each sip feel a little more interesting.
What I love is how unhurried it feels. The Moccamaster brings out a clean, smooth finish that pairs perfectly with a quiet morning—no bitterness, no fuss, just a balanced cup that lets you settle into the day at your own pace.
If your ideal weekend coffee is something flavorful, steady, and quietly enjoyable, this one earns its five stars.
The chocolate notes were unexpected for such a light roast. It is delicious!

Puzzle? I started this one with a pore at our normal 210f where it had a punch we didn't really care for. That said using a smaller pore (30g vs 40g) at 195f brought this into an enjoyable cup.

This is a lovely easy drinker. I'd call this closer to medium on the roast level (and darker than my normal). It is balanced, lightly sweet, no bitterness, with low acidity.
Brew Method: 90°C with Hario Switch at 1:18 ratio using distilled water with TWW medium profile. Ground on 1zpresso K Ultra at setting 8.6. 30s bloom, then single pour with Hario drip assist. Total brew time 2:45.
I tend to prefer a tea like brew with less body. The above method gave that, so factor that in when you decide on your method.
Tasting notes: cacao and pecan (more general nuttiness) forward, no fruit, pipe tobacco hints in the finish with some baking spice.

It's darker then most of the other Topeca roasts. It almost smells like flavored coffee, which is not something that I personally enjoy.
Smooth. Not as full bodied as Kenya AA. Low acidity. Overall a well balanced bean! A keeper!
No great way to make changes online. Same flavor several weeks in a row. no way to really keep track. Love the convenience of recently roasted bags to our door though.

ALL orders, regardless of shipping method chosen, typically takes 1-2 business days from the date of order for us to roast, package, and ship.
We ship to the entire United States via the US Postal Service and UPS. Transit times typically take 1-5 days depending on how far away you are from Tulsa, OK. Once your order is in the hands of of the postal carrier, we do not have any control over how quickly the package is delivered.
We are roasting coffee daily, Monday-Friday. We aim to fulfill online orders with coffees between 1-7 days off roast, so that when it is delivered to you it's had time to degas and is ready for brewing.
Coffee is best brewed after it has had time to degas (at least 5-7 days off roast). Coffee's aroma will be at its peak intensity and freshness within the first month after roasting. So, if you are planning on signing up for a subscription, it's best to order for a month's supply at a maximum if you are looking to get the absolute best out of your beans.
