ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

Year after year, we receive a familiar request from many of our longstanding fans to bring back an old classic that we offered as a staple many years ago, a naturally processed coffee from our family farm, Finca El Manzano in the Santa Ana region of El Salvador. This year, we’ll be doing just that and will be offering Manzano natural as our last rotating single origin of 2026, just in time to celebrate the holiday season!

Of course, we’d love to be able to offer this exceptional coffee forever and always, but Finca El Manzano is a finite space after all, and since the size and scale of both the farms and our roastery here have grown exponentially over the last two decades, there is usually not enough Manzano natural to offer on its own as a single origin coffee. This year, however, we knew we wanted to have some available to our community, so we planned to offer it for the last few months of the year as a thank you to all of those who have supported us over the years, and for everybody who loves a great natural process coffee. We hope you all will be as excited as we are to have some Manzano natural after a very long wait, we sure are. Cheers to the last few months of 2026!

This crop of Manzano natural features Pacamara, Gesha, Pacas, and Red Bourbon. In the cup, you’ll find notes of sweet, jammy persimmon, rich milk chocolate, and a creamy almond milk finish.

Fine on the palate and smoothe swallow. I think you get the most from it in a French press!

The toffee and shortbread cookie notes stand out in this coffee. It is preferred over other offerings in my home and I hope that Topeca keeps this one as a permanent coffee in their store.

No, these are natural flavors found in the coffee. Coffee is the seed of Coffee Fruit. Like any other fruit in the world there are 1000s of botanical varieties. Different varieties will have different flavor characteristics, a lot like wine.

Other things that impact a coffee’s flavor include where the coffee is grown, how the fruit is processed, how the seed is dried, how well the coffee is sorted, how the coffee is roasted, and lastly how you brew it.
