This single-origin blend of direct trade coffees is sourced from our network of family farms in El Salvador. Signature is a time-honored classic, and we’ve spent over two decades honing and crafting this multipurpose, dependable and delicious coffee. The rich, nutty flavors imparted by coffees grown at Ayutepeque coalesce with a splash of natural process coffee from El Manzano to provide a pleasant, fruity sweetness with a heavy, syrupy texture. Brew this coffee as espresso, drip, or cold brew, and you’ll see why coffee shops across the country stock their shelves with Signature Espresso.

Our Signature Espresso is emblematic of Topeca’s vertically integrated supply chain. This blend is crafted from coffees sourced directly from our network of farms in the Santa Ana region of El Salvador. Anticipate bold flavors of toffee nut and dark chocolate with a vibrant splash of cherry cordial and a velvety, satisfying texture.

Brew Parameters

There are many variables to consider when preparing espresso; differences in water chemistry, temperature, and pressure can affect the taste dramatically. These are the parameters we use in our shop with our water and equipment, and should provide a good starting point at home:

Dose: 19 g
Espresso: 40 g
Time: 25 seconds

Don't own a grinder? Don't own a good grinder? Not a problem, let us expertly grind the coffee for you depending on the method with which you brew. We roast, grind and package your coffee to order, so it gets to you just a few days after roasting. We do recommend to consume pre-ground coffee within 2 weeks after opening to experience maximum freshness of flavor.

Espresso (Fine) - best for home espresso machines, moka pot and some Aeropress recipes

Pour Over (Med-Fine) - best for single cup pour over methods with 2-3 min brew times: V60, Kalita, Malita, Clever, etc

Drip (Medium) - best for auto-drip makers and larger pour overs with 4-6 min brew times such as Chemex

French Press (Med-Coarse) - best for French press and cold brew methods.
