This decaf coffee has a smooth texture, with notes of jammy blueberry, raisin, and a bouquet of floral flavors.

After a successful year of trying out new decaf options and exploring what the industry has to offer, we were honored to be a part of the James Hoffman Decaf Project. Throughout the process, we were privileged to try the same coffee in three different methods of decaffeination and found that while there were subtle differences between the flavors imparted by these various processes, there is in fact a common thread. Good coffee when decaffeinated is still good coffee!

We are continuing our search for excellent tasting decaf in 2025, and are thrilled to announce our first specialty decaf coffee of the year. This time we’re trying out another Ethiopian natural that has been decaffeinated by Swiss Water in Vancouver, BC. This coffee was cultivated at 1600 masl in the Sidamo region of coffee’s native country. This offering is a blend of heirloom Ethiopian coffee varieties grown by smallholders and processed as a natural. We’re excited to have another opportunity to showcase another decaf coffee to share with our community, and one that we hope will satisfy those of us who are sensitive to the effects of caffeine, or simply prefer a jitter-free nightcap.

We are releasing this coffee as a precursor to a very big and very exciting announcement that’s been in the works as we continue to offer excellent decaf coffees from Swiss Water. So, to all of our direct trade and decaf coffee fans, please stay tuned for some big developments!
