This is a two-day professional barista training course geared towards new baristas, shop-owners and managers. This course covers skills and knowledge that you need to competently run an espresso bar.
The syllabus is:
8:45am Welcome to coffee - Roastery Tour
9:30am Coffee origins, roasting, cupping and tasting (seed-to-cup)
12:45pm Pour overs, batch brew
3:00pm Espresso and milk
4:15pm End of day one
8:45am Espresso machine and grinder
10:00am Steaming milk and latte art
12:45pm Barflow and customer service
1:30pm Drink recipes
2:30pm Practice through the entire menu
3:30pm Machine maintenance and cleaning
4:15pm End of class
Lunch and handouts are provided. There is an optional test afterwards to review the material. This class does not have any prerequisite requirements, and it is often a mix of brand new and veteran baristas alike.
