Named after the micro lot from which it grows, La Garita comes to us from father and son team Petronilo Martinez and Petronilo Jesus. Founded by Petronilo Martinez's father in 1958, their farm El Aquacatal, is situated in the Hoja Blanca region of Heuheutenango along the Mexican border.

Huehuetenango benefits from the cool and moist costal air stream that come off the Pacific Ocean, which helps to cool the region, creating unique microclimates throughout the region, which is perfect for the cultivation of specialty coffee. Coffees from Huehuetenango tend to be fruit forward, dense, sweet, and of exceptional cup quality. This lot is is no exception.

In the aroma, you'll find an alluring medley of caramel, nutmeg, and orange. The body is lush and juicy with a sweet graham cracker finish. The acidity is a smidge over medium, with notes of citrus and apple. This is an all day drinker for sure.

This seasonal lot is around for a limited time only, so make sure to throw a bag in your cart.
