It must be an Italian roast! Well, not quite, but we did roast this a little deeper then our usual blends to bring you something fun and unique for the holidays. We've blended together Haitian, Ethiopian, and Kenyan coffees and roasted them a bit beyond the medium mark to bring out rich caramel and chocolate notes to compliment the fruity acidity of the Ethiopian and Kenyan coffees. The idea here is something reminiscent of a traditional fruit cake or holiday spice cake, flavors of molasses, toffee, chocolate, dried fruits, and baking spices. And since it's the holidays, and we know you'll be puttin' a little sumpin' else in that cup too, a richer roast is good for that.
