This lot comes to us by way of our sourcing partners, Crop-to-Cup. Their expertise in Burundi selections span over a decade when they first began working in the small east African country in 2010. Since then Burundi has been an up and coming producer in the specialty coffee scene, offering microlots and large community lots produced by a network of smallholder farmers throughout the lush mountainous regions.
Like it's geographical location, the cup profile is somewhere between Rwandan and Kenyan, offering a balance of citrus, chocolate, and tea-like aromas.
In this cup, enjoy a zesty blood orange top note, working alongside chocolate and black tea flavors. The acidity is medium-to-mild, with a clean crisp finish.
