Would you like to learn more about what makes specialty coffee so special? Well then join us the 1st Friday of every month, when Topeca’s Director of Coffee, Ian Picco, leads us through an educational hands-on cupping session with coffees from our family farms and around the world. Each session begins with a quick tour of our roasting facility, followed by a short lecture on the many different aspects of the Specialty Industry. Ian will walk you through the whole coffee process from Seed to Cup by examining the 3 major variables that go into determining Specialty coffee: Varietal, Origin, and Processing. You’ll get the chance to connect these concepts directly with your nose and your palate as Ian leads you around the table discussing each of the coffees in these terms.
So whether you are an aspiring professional Barista looking to hone your coffee knowledge or a part-time coffee geek looking for a chance to taste an array of different coffees, come spend a Friday morning with us and discover what makes Topéca unique and learn how our sustainable Seed-to-Cup model creates a one-of-a-kind tasty experience. If you are interested in attending a session please sign up for one of the dates below. The cuppings are free to the public and held the 1st Friday (unless otherwise noted) at 10am in our Roastery, they typically last until 12 noon. Hope to see you there!
